A rare glass slide from 1885 showing the canal as it snaked through Hebden Bridge. The large building on the left is Melbourne Mill - a dominating feature of the town for over 100 years and mysteriously reduced to rubble in 1983. The Co-operative supermarket now occupies the site. ALGC.
