A huge bonfire erected on Mount Skip above Snow Booth Farm, Old Town, brought to an end a day of festivities marking the Coronation of George V. Two tons of coal, one ton of coke and half a ton of tar ensured that the bonfire - ignited by the novel method of electricity - could be seen for miles around. Code no BT114 ALGC
